but overall looks great for her age and ready to fiercely guard whatever treasures one might store inside

The leather covering one the bottom half of the flask is fixed to the flask

Plus the pewter walnuts themselves are just great objects

I think it probably dates to the 1940s or so and came from a factory in Massachusetts or New Hamphire
