Austria, Empire. A Scarce Submarine “U-Boot” Badge, c. 1916 Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic CORPS) Naming is engraved(U Boot Abzeichen). Instituted in 1914. Constructed of blackened white metal, consisting of a fouled anchor flanked on either side by U and B respectively, the reverse with a tong constructed of matching white metal (previously repaired replaced), unmarked, measuring 35. 0 mm (w) x 54. 2 mm (l), weighing 26. 54 grams, a scarce and well preserved example in extremely fine condition.
