Ure is holding an umbrella and looking to camera. Oval, but printed on rectangular paper and card mounted. Inscribed in pencil lower left 'Dr Andrew Ure F. R. S.' Andrew Ure was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1821. Original: albumen print. 1853
