Written by illustration expert and founder of Illustration House, Walt Reed. Harold von Schmidt (1893 1982) studied at the Grand Central School of Art in New York City. His work appeared primarily in Collier's Weekly, Cosmopolitan, Liberty, The Saturday Evening Post, and Sunset. He preferred magazine work and illustrated few books. In 1948, he
