Nicholas (1868 1918) came to the throne after the death of his father, Alexander III. The last Tsar of Russia, he abdicated in 1917 after the Russian Revolution and was murdered by the Bolsheviks the following year. Found in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
