Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a Wehrmacht style German national eagle clutching a large wreathed mobile swastika, with a shield at the bottom bearing a raised date of 1939, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 44. 19 mm (w) x 30. 50 mm (h), accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of heavy card stock
