Jack Lenor Larsen Dansk Porcelain Lidded Boxes or Canisters - a Pair 925 and the Tel Aviv Museum

and the Tel Aviv Museum

perhaps for this reason

a teacher and a student

I like the connection between the figure mining for fish hidden below the surface of the ice and the box itself as a place where treasures are concealed and kept safe

Jack Lenor Larsen Dansk Porcelain Lidded Boxes or Canisters - a Pair 925 and the Tel Aviv MuseumThese porcelain lidded canisters or boxes by Jack Lenor Larsen for Dansk, circa 1970s, are in perfect condition and super smart looking. Crisp, bright white with rusty orange red lids that feature a ripple design that gives them a Japanese sensibility, these were part of Larsen's "Tapestry" series that also included tea coffee service pieces and casserole dishes. Each canister measures 5 1 2" in diameter and 2 1 8" tall.
