This is a lovely old ladle or dipper made in two parts

and as much like a sculpture as a functional object

and other little odds and ends

which contained poetry

with one tiny chip in the glaze on the back of the bird's neck

MicMac Porcupine Weave Fancy Lidded Basket display shelf This is a lovely oldThis is a newer, un dyed splint and grass presumed MicMac basket with "porcupine" weave around the perimeter of the lid and again near the bottom of the base. Bright and clean (there's a bit of dust captured in a couple of the photos that has since been brushed off!) with a great silhoutte, it's a nice one just to set on a shelf, or to fill with a couple of little treasures and give as a gift basket!
