Great Carved Chain Links Whimsy with Two Balls in Cages black vase This is actually the second

This is actually the second of these I've found

established as the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in 1819

The box measures 6 1/2" long by 3 3/8 inches wide and deep and is in great vintage condition

Using nothing more than wood

and this is just a fairly unusual and really good looking set

Great Carved Chain Links Whimsy with Two Balls in Cages black vase This is actually the secondReally a nice whimsy, beautifully carved, with a great contrast between the sharp edges of the cages and the soft curves of the chain links. All done from one piece of wood; I'm not certain of the type of wood, but it's got a really warm tone and nice weight, and the piece definitely has some years on it. Really lovely. 13 inches long overall x 3 8" wide and deep. The cages measure 2 3 8" long each, and each link measures about 1 1 2" long. Excellent
