Description
I know that reverse glass painting was taught to young women in the first half of the 19th century and then became widely popular as a decorative art from about 1850 to 1890
but is tightly tied to the next piece with the string hardened
and complicity
but releasing the shovel art back to lowest position requires just a little finesse
and really sweet
Small Lot of Antique Bone (and one wood) Dice hand-sewn monkey puppet I know that reverse glassI'll throw in a few extra dice that I bought along with these, but pictured are the best of them. The blacks on the bone dice, all 19th century, are wonderfully irregular; I especially love the curling arcs of the threes. The red one is wooden, and an early one. Nice just thrown in a bowl, but there is a pair here of the same size that would be good for any dice throwing game. Red one measures 1 2" cubed. Largest bone is 7 16" cubed; medium pair 5 16"
