There is just enough post-bottling SO2 to interfere slightly with the slightly exotic white orchard fruit aromas that are trimmed in a subtle dollop of wood

It is made from a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano and aged for 5 years in barrel and 5 years in bottle prior to release

Comtes Lafon, Volnay Clos Chenes other_regions_italy 8% alcohol(from yields of 15 hl ha). A more complex if not necessarily more elegant nose is comprised of red and dark currant, anise, sandalwood and marked earth scents. There is good detail and excellent volume to the more mineral inflected middle weight plus flavors where the supporting tannins are a bit more fine grained than usual, all wrapped in a powerful, balanced and impressively long finish. This is lovely and while firm, its not austere. (90 93) 2021+
