Abraham Trembley and pupils collecting hydra Finish:Single 3rd July 1985Landscape view showing the naturalist Abraham Trembley collecting specimens from a moat or canal, using a net. His two pupils, the sons of Count Willem Bentinck (1704 1774) sit beside him with a dog behind. The water feature is within a waled and tree lined garden at Zorgvlied near the Hague in the Netherlands.
