I think the design is really lovely

I think they are just great little objects

The deep brown glaze that covers the surface of the bull's body is predominately smooth

There are a wide array of Daruma out there

)--took the trouble to drill holes through the wood in order to stitch through its little pink nose and those great button eyes

Six Links Carved Whimsy Chain Priests of Pallas souvenir I think the design isI never tire of these carved whimsy chains, as even carving a two link chain seems like a miracle to me, and even fairly simple ones have their own distinct personalities. I like the rustic ness of this one and its relatively large and fat links; it feels a bit more like one carved by a prisoner than an end of the day leisurely whittler! 5 3 4" long x 1 1 16" wide x 5 16" thick. Definitely with some age, but no notable cracks or splits. A nice one
