HMS Victory, Portsmouth, Hampshire Size:L: 75 x 50cm 'Explanation of Plate XII'HMS 'Victory', Portsmouth, Hampshire, 20th century. HMS 'Victory' was a first rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, built between 1759 and 1765. She was Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The 'Victory' has been at Portsmouth since she was retired from service in 1812. In 1922 she was moved into dry dock for restoration.
