then all tacked to the velvet with a fancy pin and purple ribbon to hold them in place

but instead in the heel

Very good antique condition with lead residue on the mold and a beautiful old patina to the pine

so was delighted to find this piece this week

I've not seen another like this one, made of pieces of what I believe is felted wool, cut with scalloped edges and wrapped concentrically. With a cardboard covered in green silk which is really the only thing that shows age and makes me think probably early 20th c. Great palette, great form, well made and very cheerful. 3 3 8"
