4 1/2" diameter and 4 1/4" tall with lid and in excellent condition

and shelves stacked with mis-matched teacups

with a ruffled cuff just below it

What's especially cool about this old carved whimsy is that the "shelf" separating the two balls slides all the way up and down inside

Late 19th early 20th century I believe, with finger jointed corners, brass hardware, and a beautifully shaped old wooden palette (sadly with a couple of mended splits, but still pretty, and still totally usable) that fits neatly inside. 9 7 8" w x 7 1 2" d x 2 3 4" t. Used for sure but in overall very good condition with hinges firmly
