This old painting I believe does full and complete justice to the Tiger Iris (Tigridia lilacea

and then straight to the table for serving

All at the Normal Gym, in Illinois, and all for a dime! I love every inch of this so much, perhaps the drawings of clown and giraffe and elephant most of all. I'd guess maybe the event was a high school fundraiser or something along those lines, but don't know for sure but I'd love to think all of the invitations that went out were hand drawn postcards like this one, which is postmarked
