The center of the lid and base of the basket are woven with sweetgrass on the splint structure

"Hers" measures 4" wide x 2 1/2" deep x 5 3/4" tall

and just got two more in

The hanger on reverse corresponds to horizontal hanging

The threaded post screws tightly into the light green base (with remnants of a Holgate sticker still on it) and and blue top block

Mary Baker's Woman on Horse, Crayon Drawing, 1917 antique Indian horse The center of the lidThis is one of several crayon drawings done by a Mary Baker, a couple of them signed, and one dated 1917, surely done when miss Mary was in grade school. I love them all, but this woman on horseback may be my favorite of all, in significant part due to her excellent profile, tiny hands, and great yellow hat! And those extra large hooves on the horse are pretty fantastic too! 8 1 4" x 5 15 16" and in very good condition.
