Woven Wall Hanging #3 | Abstract Viso Project Organic petal-inspired designWoven from palm fibres in the northern region of Chimichagua Cesar in Colombia, these colourful wall hangings were traditionally used as floor or table mats. The crafting process involves harvesting the indigenous palm leaves, collecting natural pigments, dyeing and weaving using stick looms before rubbing with a flat stone to make each piece shiny and smooth. Each design is unique and conceived by the artisans themselves.
