I’ve gotten really into old landscapes that were ethereal to begin with and which age has made all the more so

especially the way those diagonal supports meet the grooves cut into the top and legs

both with heads of this wonderful wavy hair

In this case I have found a couple of carvings similar to this one (nobs at the end

It's constructed just like old cast iron carnival targets

Pretty Package: Waterlily Bouquet with Rosebuds, c. 1870s Watercolor in Gilded Frame astronaut I’ve gotten really into oldI could not leave behind such a lovely thing as this, a 19th century watercolor in beautiful condition with just the right mat and gilded frame, all bright and crisp. Sometime pretty is just the thing, and this one would inspire me to keep a vase of fresh cut flowers right beside or below it. The large white flower is a waterlily I believe, which always feel like unattainable blooms unless one has a rowboat or a kayak handy. A perfect gift for wedding
