the pitchers lie flat on the ground forming a 1' wide clump with the opening facing upwards

Hosta So Sweet 7b For over three decadesThe 1996 Hosta of the Year is considered one of the classics. Named by hosta guru Paul Aden after himself (just kidding), the medium sized green leaves emerge with a gold border that ages into a nice, wide creamy edge. In late summer, the rapidly multiplying, 3' wide clump is topped with stalks of very fragrant near white flowers. For us, this is the last hosta to go dormant. Dynamite!
