The Piera Color:Black summer didn’t truly start untilThe Piera is our take on a furlane, or Venetian slipper. The first pairs were made from leftover velvet with soles made from recycled bicycle tires by local women who wanted elegant shoes to wear to holiday parties and weddings. They became synonymous with Venice when gondoliers started wearing them for their non slip grip. Our take on the resurgent style is crafted from metallic flecked velvet trimmed with grosgrain ribbon. We also added 6mm of foam
